What if the future you have dreamt of has vanished? Veronica, the heroine of Shadows, is looking for answers. She muses,
Collecting the stones
To build someoneâs throne
All alone.
To try and neglect
My headstone.
Itâs always been there,
Keeping me company.
Am I still alive,
Or just quantity?
By the end of the story, she is able to find peace, accept her loss, and move on:
From beyond,
You can feel my emotions.
So blind,
I proceed with much caution.
We play games -
You will send me a rainbow.

Doctor in cultural anthropology (with an interest for the field of creative industries) and classically formed sound producer Philippe Blache formed his project titled "Day Before Us" back in 2011. His musical signature ranges from darkly ritualized gothic atmospheres, sampled droning textures and ethereal poetical escapism sometimes augmented by vocal lines and piano touches. The music imposes a visceral and dramatic grandeur, at once overwhelming and hypnotic. The project is officially signed on various indie labels, distributed worldwide and occasionally provides sound installations in a multiplicity of contexts. Philippe Blache has also signed a few albums under his own name, chasing the dark arcana of experimental music.
